Description: New Mexico-based non-profit Adobe in Action (in cooperation with Originate Natural Building Materials) is offering a 1/2-day introduction to the basics of adobe construction for owner builders & natural building enthusiasts in the Tucson area. Learn:

• sourcing clay-rich soils and sharp sands

• testing soils and sands for use in adobe construction

• making adobe blocks for your project

• adobe mixing, forming, drying, stacking, storing

Instructor Jason Martinez holds a Certificate in Adobe Construction from Adobe in Action as well as an Adobe Proficiency Certification from The Earthbuilders’ Guild.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to site safety protocols this workshop will be limited to a maximum of 8 participants.
